The Harpsicle® Harp

Whether it is Katie Targett-Adams effervescing from a stage in China or New Age artist Peter Sterling playing for dolphins off the coast of Bimini or the Bay Area Youth Harp Ensemble raising money to protect ancient redwood trees in Northern California, little, simple Harpsicle® Harps are under the hands of creative performers all around the world. Perhaps even more importantly, be it a brand new harp program in Guatemala, or the well established one from the Hong Kong Harp Chamber or the jazz explorations of harp students in Atlanta, Georgia, USA or Irish harp teacher Una Ní Fhlannagain working to maintain the tradition of the harp in Ireland, the Harpsicle® Harp has become a vital part of a rapidly growing harp community around the world. Our customers are taking this most ancient of all stringed instruments, the harp, both back to its roots and forward as they build new traditions for themselves, their families and all those they touch. Certainly, we hope that the people you encounter through this site will help to both inspire and encourage you to find out where you will go with your own Harpsicle® Harp.

The Harpsicle® Harp

This is a quality budget friendly harp for the casual harper. The Harpsicle® Harp has no sharping levers so it is primarily played in the key of C; however, you can still play in other keys by manually re-tuning this harp using an electronic tuner and the included tuning wrench. There is a lifetime of beautiful harp music to explore in just the key of C that will keep you happy and busy for a long time. The mojority of our Harpsicle® Harp Music Sets are written in the key of C. If you plan on playing in different keys, come from a music or piano background, then we would recommend looking at the Sharpsicle™, Flatsicle™, or Fullsicle™.

This harp comes with a tuning wrench, care instructions, and a two year warranty.

Due to high demand, Harpsicle® orders may take up to 2 - 3 weeks to build.

Recommended Accessories

Since many beginners start their harp journey with a Harpsicle® Harp we find it is helpful to suggest some accessories which will make your learning process a bit more smooth. All harpers need to have a chromatic tuner and while every music store sells chromatic tuners not all brands and models work equally well on harps. The chromatic tuners we carry are guaranteed to be sensitive to both the highest and lowest ranges of your harp. You may also wish so consider a Harpsicle® Harp Display Stand which is designed to safely hold your harp upright when you are not using it. The Harpsicle® Harp Stick is a very popular accessory which many people find makes it easier to hold the harp while they are playing. The book and on-line video set Harpsicle® Harp Method lays out first steps in a clear and concise manner. All of these things are available either separately or as part of the First Harp Package.
